Our homes are our stories.
All of us need a place where our roots can grow deep.
We need a place to belong, a place where our wandering lives can be centered and connected.
Our hearts and souls long for a place that doesn't just meet our basic needs, but provides a sanctuary that preserves all that is lovely and vital in life.
Our homes tell the stories of our comings and goings, our mornings and nights--our holidays, birthdays, and regular-do-nothing-special days.
In a disconnected, chaotic world, with a generation of emotional and spiritual homelessness, we as mothers can choose to write our own stories of home,
live unhurried, savor the intentional, and celebrate the hearts, minds, and souls of those we love.
You were made to be a placemaker.
Make place with purpose.
The world feels like it's in chaos these days.
Our hearts feel the chaos and disorder, too.
We all feel the urgency to create a safe and nourishing environment for our children and families.
We are the guardians of our dwelling, the artists of our home canvas, and have the beautiful privilege as mothers to cultivate beauty, peace, and faith for those we love.
Our calling to be 'sober,' to love our husbands, to love our children, to be 'keepers at home' has never been more urgent than right now.
We must be placemakers on purpose.

homebody + placemaker
As long as I can remember, I've always cultivated place. My childhood was chaotic and unsettling and I found that wherever I landed, I had to create a nest of comfort and rest for my heart and mind.
Creating a home that gave me life, that was a safe place to run to, that prepared me and sheltered me from the busyness of the outside world, sustained me during the most bountiful and most difficult seasons of my life.
As a mother, with a calling to be a 'keeper of home,' I savor the Biblical invitation to cultivate a refuge for not just myself, but for my family. I want them to experience hope, rest, and restoration within these four walls. The outside doesn't matter, the inside is what counts.
What a gift we have as women, mothers, and homemakers to shape and mold our small corner of the world into a place where the story of our redemption through Christ can be renewed day by day, even in the ordinary moments of our lives.
